Galatians 4:19 AMP
My little children, for whom I am again in [the pains of] labor until Christ is [completely and permanently] formed within you—
The Lord began moving my heart 15 years ago toward supporting the body of Christ. I knew he was calling me towards some sort of ministry but did not fully understand how best to support the body of Christ. My experience with church often revealed that in order for it to exist and continue to operate it was expected to function much like an enterprise or organization. I was never against the good that came of the present system but I always felt somehow it was not fulfilling its true God designed purpose. I began seeking the Lord to learn more about how the scriptures describe his church, and how it was possible that what it began as had strayed from its simple beginnings. In present day church we encounter the body of Christ in a very structured order much like joining a special social club. God's hearts desire was that the body's function should be more like a human organism. After working in the medical profession for over 18 years I have witnessed what can happen in the human body if it becomes stagnant without freedom or range of motion. The definition of stagnation literally means Not flowing “clogged”. Medical science shows that if a human body becomes stagnant, physical and mental symptoms develop leading to breaking down of vital functions that in turn cause vulnerability to diseases. This all contributes to the drawing up, breaking down, and decay of the body and all of its systems. This is but a short description of what happens when a body is simply "kept for preservation" much like on life support instead of living, moving , and thriving out of a purpose. God did not design the body to simply be “preserved” He described a vibrant, active, and mobile organism operating far more complex than our present organizations have been able to accomplish by seeking to preserve the Faith. The goal and role of my involvement in this glorious organism is to operate through one on one faith affirming relationship walking side by side aiding the body through exercising it's faith. Much like physical therapy Faith affirming works within the body so that God's body can gain strength, healing, and restoration in order to operate fully functional in its design and purpose. Laboring alongside others in a Faith affirming relationship is essential for the body of Christ health and growth as individual parts and learning how to function together in unity as a whole organism.

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
